For many years, now, the Norisring has been a highlight on the DTM calendar. The circuit at Nuremberg’s ‘Zeppelinfeld’ is one of the absolute constants on the DTM calendar. Only twice in the history of the series – in 1985 and 1986 – DTM didn’t make a stop at the Norisring. It’s the atmosphere that turns this race meeting in such a unique event. The Norisring is Germany’s only still existing street circuit and from the huge ‘Steintribüne’, the spectators can see nearly the entire circuit. And the fact that the races usually are held in midsummer adds to the fantastic atmosphere between ‘Grundig-Kehre’ and Dutzendteich.
